Larger, national nonprofits operate with more layers and administrative staff funneling funds away from their causes. As a local foundation, working with schools and organizations in southwestern Pennsylvania, we adopt a hands-on approach to partnerships, ensuring the bulk of our resources is devoted to meaningful outreach in our region.

Openly sharing our personal story of a preventable tragedy, we promote transparent discussions about mental health and suicide. As educators, counselors and parents, our founders and board members offer informed perspectives on ways to better connect students and families with mental health services.

We strive to be passionate, proactive and fiscally prudent in pursuit of our mission, making a larger impact in a smaller pool and reaching local youth with the ripple effect.
